A man from Xi’an, China was involved in a case where he transferred 1.62 million yuan to a 17-year-old girl, 17 years his junior, who was considered his mistress. After his wife discovered the transaction, she demanded that the girl return all the money. However, the girl claimed that the money was a loan. The court ultimately ruled that the girl must return the 1.62 million yuan and pay interest.
