A fisherman in Nanjing (Nanjing, China) paid 500 yuan to have someone retrieve his cellphone from the water, but the retrieval attempt was unsuccessful. The diver asked for an additional 2,000 yuan to search for the phone in the muddy water, which the fisherman refused. The next day, the phone’s location was tracked to a mall, but the police were unable to open a case due to lack of evidence proving theft.
