A worker in a construction site in Guiyang, China, survived a miraculous ordeal after falling into a deep pit when the site collapsed. The worker, who had a high fever of 41 degrees Celsius, was rescued and spent two and a half days in the ICU and 50 days in the hospital, during which time his weight dropped from 130 to 80 kilograms. Fortunately, there was no secondary collapse, and the worker managed to crawl out of the pit on his own.
