A food factory in Dezhou, Shandong Province, China, has been found to be using rotten and smelly eggs to make popular egg cakes, with the factory emitting a foul odor. When confronted by an undercover reporter, staff claimed that the smell would be gone after adding fragrances, and revealed that the eggs used as raw materials were purchased at a price of 1.6 yuan per kilogram.
