A 23-year-old man in the United States has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for animal cruelty. The man, who once worked at an animal shelter in the United States, claimed that he committed the act due to stress in his life. In a separate incident, a woman from Guangzhou, China, attempted to use a beautified photo taken 10 years ago to apply for a new ID card, but her application was rejected. She subsequently sued the public security bureau, but her case was dismissed by the court.
